My areas of Expertise:
I bring a down-to-earth, compassionate, and trauma-informed approach to therapy, meeting clients where they are and supporting them with empathy and encouragement.
My Approach
I use a combination of approaches tailored to each client, including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Compassion & Emotion Focused Therapy, Mindfulness, Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), and Internal Family Systems.
My approach is trauma-informed, which means I focus on understanding the ways people have learned to cope with life’s challenges, rather than judging them. I see your experiences as shaping your survival strategies, not as something 'wrong' with you. I honor your survival strategies and help you build new skills in a safe, nonjudgmental space.
My approach is grief-informed, supporting clients as they navigate the complex emotions that come with significant loss. I draw on tools like Narrative Therapy and the Dual Process Model to help with both the emotional processing of grief and the practical steps toward rebuilding life. Empathy and validation guide everything I do, creating a space where your grief can be acknowledged.

Frequently Asked Questions

Therapy sessions are all about creating a space where you can be yourself. We usually start with a brief check-in to see how you’re doing and chat about what might be helpful to focus on. Are you hoping for a lighter, more reflective session, or ready to dive a little deeper? You’re welcome to make yourself comfortable, grab a fidget toy, a cup of tea or coffee, or just settle in. Whether we meet virtually or in person, this is your space to feel seen, heard, and supported.
-
While a typical therapy session lasts 38 to 53 minutes, I offer flexible options to meet you where you are, including 30-, 45-, or 53-minute sessions. Most clients start on a weekly basis to get comfortable and build trust. As you learn tools and gain confidence, we can switch to biweekly sessions, collaboratively deciding what works best for you.
